Revised

Handling time is more complex and confusing than you may think, and here are some of my articles and tools that may be of help when trying to understand different areas of time keeping.

Selecting a date range

When you have to select a range of dates, the current solutions are cumbersome and confusing.

I have a proof-of-concept for a local date range picker. You will understand why I think it is really important to use the word "local" in these situations.

Timestamps

Working with timestamps is an area with a lot of ambiguity.

I have written an article about the golden timestamp rules.

There is also a tool if you have to examine and convert different types of timestamps.

What time is it?

You may not think of it, but sometimes it is quite hard to get the correct time for the location where you are.

To help you minimize misunderstandings, using UTC in a structured format may be helpful.

You can also get useful insights from the NNM Clock.

Time zones

One thing that often lack good requirements is when we need to handle time zones, which will result in our users being really confused.

I have written an exhaustive article about pros and cons of time zones.

There is also a tool for examining and comparing time zones.

Deciding meeting times

When communicating with people all over the world, you need help when deciding meeting times.
